The EU Presidency Ireland 2026 – Luxury Accommodation
From July to December 2026, Ireland will proudly hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the eighth time. This prestigious role places Ireland at the epicentre of European decision-making, guiding policy discussions and shaping the EU agenda for six months.
The Presidency rotates among member states every six months and is responsible for steering the Council’s legislative work, ensuring cooperation and continuity across the Union. During this term, Ireland will chair meetings, represent the Council in negotiations with other EU institutions, and host discussions with over 50 European leaders.
In preparation, Ireland will publish its Presidency Policy Programme in June 2026, outlining priorities for the term. Over the six months, 22 informal ministerial meetings and more than 250 associated events will take place across the country, many of which will take place in Dublin city centre.
