Check Out Our Free Self Guided Walking Tour of Dublin City

Located in the heart of historic Dublin, Dylan's neighbourhood is steeped in both ancient and modern Irish history. It displays examples of Dublin's finest architecture and is enriched by "Baggotonia", the bohemian culture created by the artists and literary figures who made Baggot Street their debaucherous home from the 1940's to the 70's.

The hotel has created this walking tour to assist visitors and locals alike to explore the City further by bringing the streetscape to life; telling the history and tales of a handful of its most colourful characters.

This 50 minute self-guided walking tour is best enjoyed by simultaneously listening to the episodes linked below and following the route on the printed map. There is a complimentary map in each guest's room as well as being available here, or at the Front Desk to neighbours and friends with the hotel's compliments.

The route is a loop from the hotel through Georgian Dublin, up Baggot Street to Merrion Square and the National Gallery and returning down Upper Mount Street, the Grand Canal back to the hotel.  Enjoy the tour at your own pace, pausing it at any stage to explore an attraction, visit a local pub and pick back up where you left off.
