At Dylan Hotel, we take pride in supporting Irish artists and thoughtfully curating artwork that complements the unique character of each of our bedrooms, adding depth, warmth, and personality to your stay.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we strive to reuse and repurpose wherever possible. During our recent renovation, we refreshed our art collection to better reflect the comfort, individuality, and inviting atmosphere of each space. The previous artworks and photographs remain, enriching the hallways of our hotel as they continue to share their stories and appeal with guests as they explore our grounds or retreat to their luxurious bedrooms.
Shane O’Driscoll – Eclips
Shane O’Driscoll, a contemporary artist based in Cork, brings a bold and modern energy to the world of printmaking. Known for his vibrant, fluorescent palette inspired by surf culture, Shane’s work radiates warmth and optimism. Eclips is a striking example of his style, bright, dynamic, and full of movement perfectly capturing the spirit of Dylan Hotel’s artistic vision.
Mary O'Connor
Mary O’Connor, a Wexford-born artist, creates vibrant paintings, screen prints, and large-scale wall murals characterised by bold geometric abstraction and a striking colour palette. Her three featured designs bring a playful energy to the bedroom area, adding brightness and vibrancy that beautifully complement the furnishings and the thoughtfully curated interior design of the bedroom space.
Emma O’Hara - Moonglow
Emma O’Hara, a Cork-based artist, works with bold, modern colours inspired by her personal connection to ecology expressed through both paper and clay. Her painting Moonglow is now featured in one of our bedrooms, accompanied by a selection of ceramics that beautifully complement the interior design of our unique and diverse suites. These vivid dreamscapes exist beyond time and place, inviting a sense of reverie and suspended reality. Exploring the link between desire and dreams, the work presents fiercely imagined landscapes where colour and abstraction subtly remind us of the fragility of our natural world and the urgency of the environmental crisis.
Philip Pankoff
Philip Pankoff is a Russian fine art photographer who beautifully captures the everyday essence of Irish landscapes, particularly those around Dublin. After moving from Moscow to Ireland in 1997 to study at Trinity College Dublin, he quickly fell in love with the beauty of his new surroundings. For 15 years, his photographs adorned the walls of our bedrooms. Last year, we relocated them to the bedroom corridors giving these timeless pieces a fresh perspective and a new lease of life.
Whether you are discovering a new favourite artist or simply enjoying the inviting and elegant atmosphere they help create, we hope the artwork throughout Dylan Hotel’s bedrooms adds something special to your stay.
We look forward to welcoming you soon,
The Dylan Hotel Team
