Guinness Storehouse - St. James Gate

The Guinness Storehouse has been one of Dublin’s top attractions since the brewery opened in 1759. Not only does it give you the chance to explore one of the oldest industries in Ireland, but also an opportunity to sip at the black stuff while you soak up history. When visiting the Storehouse, your journey will begin at the bottom of the world’s largest pint glass, which could contain an incredible 14 million pints of beer. From here, self-guided tours give you the opportunity to set the pace as you wander through seven floors of interactive experiences. While you wander through the halls, you’ll discover over 250 years of brand history, and discover the skill they pour into their brewing process.

Each floor has a different theme

On the first floor, you’ll discover how the beer has been travelling the world since 1769.( To this day, all the Guinness served in over 150 countries originates in Ireland, and takes epic journeys to reach its destination.) Moving on to the second floor, you’ll get a chance to savour a taste of the famed black stuff in a unique, sensory experience. On the third floor, you’ll get a chance to see the advertising that has made Guinness so famous throughout the years. Meanwhile, on the 4th floor, you can attend the Guinness Academy. The favourite stop of many visitors, here you can learn how to pull the perfect pint.

By the 5th floor, you’ll probably want a snack break; which is why the Brewer’s Dining Hall calls this its home. The menu is full of iconic Guinness dishes to enjoy before continuing your tour. Finally, the 7th floor provides the perfect location to savour your pint. The Gravity Bar provides a 360 degree view of Dublin, high above the rooftops.
