Dylan’s Top Tips for Travelling with Your Dog :

Plan Ahead : Leaving packing and arrangements to the last minute can be  stressful for dogs, so arrange everything that needs to be done well in advance.

Stick to their routine : Dogs thrive on routine so try to stick to their regular feeding schedule.  Don’t switch to a different brand of dog food when traveling as it may upset their stomach.  Bring their favourite toy or blanket.

Be safe : Dogs need a safe place to rest when traveling, whether by car, bus or plane.  Pet harnesses or crates are recommended.  By law your pet must be in a pet carrier when flying.

Pet-friendly : Be sure to check, in advance, that a dog program or dog friendly policy exists wherever you are staying.

Identification : Make sure your dog has identification, clearly stating their name, your name, address and phone number in case you become separated from your dog when traveling.
